My Story
I picked up my first camera at 17 and never really put it down. What started as a curiosity turned into a decade-long obsession with light, composition, and the challenge of freezing time in a single frame.
I studied photography at [Your School / self-taught] and spent the early years of my career shooting everything — news, sports, food, real estate — until I discovered what I actually loved: people. The way a face changes when someone relaxes. The way two people look at each other when they think no one's watching. The way a room full of strangers transforms the moment music starts playing.
That's what Lens & Light is built around. Not perfect poses or Pinterest setups — though I can do those too — but authentic images that hold something real. The kind you'll still be glad you have in twenty years.
When I'm not shooting, I'm hiking in [Your Favorite Location], obsessing over film cameras I can't afford, or trying to convince my dog to sit still long enough to practice.
My Approach
No heavy filters, trendy presets, or over-processed looks that date a photo. My editing is designed to look good in 2025 and still hold up in 2050.
Skin tones that look like skin. Skies that look like sky. I work hard to preserve the actual colors of your day, not impose a fake mood over them.
I direct when needed, but I prefer to observe. The best shots are almost always the ones nobody planned — and you need a photographer paying attention to catch them.
Every location choice, timing decision, and camera setting comes back to light. Good light makes ordinary moments extraordinary.
I limit my bookings intentionally. Every client gets genuine attention, not a rushed shoot from a photographer on their 4th session of the day.

The Process
You reach out and tell me about your vision. I'll respond within 24 hours to confirm availability and discuss details.
A short call or email exchange before every session to align on location, outfits, timing, and any specific shots you want.
I'll guide you enough that you know what to do, and give you enough freedom to be yourself. Relax — that's when the best photos happen.
